More About This Page:
What do I need this tool for?
- You might be trying to make sure that the vibration on your device is working correctly, if it recently wasn't working for you in another app.
- You could test different vibration patterns to see what would fit best in an app that you're developing.
- Rumor has it that some people use the test for some fun times, and if you would do that we definitely wouldn't judge.
It isn't working. What's the first thing I should check?
Make sure that your phone isn't silenced. "Vibrate" is fine, but on "Silence" it won't work.
What if it still isn't working?
We tried to make sure that the test would on every device, from iPhones to Android to different tablets. If your device isn't silenced and this tool still isn't working, write us.
I put in a long test time but the vibration stops after a few seoncds. Why?
Most phones limit the amount of continuous vibration to only a few seconds. Likewise, even for the start/stop setting, it will be limited by some phone/tablets to around 1-2 minutes.
What do the different modes do?
- "Continuous" just does one long vibration, according to the test time determined above. Notice that many phones will not allow one very long vibration and will cut it short after a few seconds.
- "Start/Stop" will alternate between 1 second of vibration and a 1 second break, for the duration of the test.
- "Custom" also alternates between vibrations and breaks, but it lets you decide the length of the vibration and the length of the break.
